Energy & environment

In order to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, it is necessary to identify energy losses during a process. Using the appropriate insulation materials and refractories, heat losses – and thus energy losses and CO2 emissions – can be considerably reduced.

Thermal analysis
By thermo-graphic analysis of an installation with high quality infrared monitoring equipment, hot spots can be identified. In addition, thermocouple measurements can be performed using advanced data logging and processing equipment. With our highly corrosion resistant thermocouple protection tubes, measurements can be performed in nearly any atmosphere or liquid. In combination with the expertise and thermal modelling tools available at the CRC, construction improvements can be made.
